Additional Steps - Appirio Search for Google Docs
Appirio Search for Google Docs allows users to search for Google documents from any object. In order, to accomplish this it must be able to call from salesforce.com directly to Google and each page layout where it will be used must be adjusted.
Configure Remote Site Settings
- In Salesforce, click Setup > Security Controls > Remote Site Settings
- Add the following sites:

Adding Doc Search to Each Page Layout
Doc Search must be configured on each individual page layout where it should be used. The steps to do this are:
- Go to the page layout where you would like to add the capability to search for related Google documents (e.g. Accounts)
- Create a new section called “Appirio Search for Google Docs”. It should be a 1 column section. (Best Practice - place the section directly above the Related Lists Section)
- In the right side panel, select “Custom S Controls” from the view menu. Drag the S-control “Appirio Search for Google Docs” into the new section you just created.
- Select the sControl and choose “Edit Properties.” Set the width in pixels to “100% and the height to 300 (pixels, not percent)
- Click Ok and Save the Page Layout
