To help clear up this "cloud confusion" and provide transparency into the cloud ecosystem, we're excited to launch an online, interactive, cloud ecosystem map.
The map breaks out nearly 70 different layers of technology across applications, platforms and infrastructure. It distinguishes between offerings that are true cloud (multi-tenant, single instance) vs. those that are simply hosted by the vendor (single tenant, multi-instance) vs. those that are deployed on premise as part of a "private cloud." The map illustrates which elements are available directly vs. bundled in a solution vs. provided by a partner. The offerings of leading vendors are highlighted across the stack, as are point solutions from emerging vendors. Links are provided within the map to learn more about each offering.
