On-demand software is changing the world. More than ever, large companies are deploying systems like Salesforce.com instead of installing and maintaining their own on-premise applications. An Appirio Client Manager will guide our customers through implementation and integration of on-demand enterprise applications such as Salesforce.com. You will gain valuable experience with cutting-edge software-as-a-service (SaaS) technologies as you help customers realize the benefits of on-demand software – no maintenance, easier configuration, higher reliability, and wider adoption.


Candidate Profile


  • Enthusiastic, professional, and confident personality, with a focus on customer success
  • Excellent listening skills to fully understand the customer requirements and pain points
  • Ability to translate customer requirements into implementation plans
  • Technical acumen to convert plans into real solutions that work
  • Driven by customer success with a team player attitude
  • Located and able to work in the U.S. and able to travel up to 40-60% (Silicon Valley, Atlanta, and Washington DC areas preferred)
  • Looking for a full-time position

Preferred Skills/Experience


  • M.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent
  • 6+ years of experience with technical implementations of customer projects
  • 3+ years experience with project management of enterprise software deployments
  • 2+ years of experience with salesforce.com configuration and custom development
  • Experience with other CRM software (Siebel, Clarify, Vantive, Peoplesoft, NetSuite, etc.)
  • Experience with enterprise integration tools and extract, transformation and load (ETL) tools
  • Application development experience with Javascript, XML, HTTP, Java, C++, ASP, SQL
  • Strong presentation and communication skills

Duties


Appirio is focused on salesforce.com and Google Enterprise customer implementations. Client managers are responsible for developing business opportunities, working with partners and making customers successful. This is a sales-oriented position with a commissions-based compensation plan based on making quota. Specific duties include:

  • Generating sales leads through involvement in marketing activities
  • Managing sales opportunities through a defined sales cycle
  • Generating Statement of Work proposals
  • Working with sales and marketing teams from partners such as salesforce.com and Google Enterprise to jointly close opportunities
  • Directly managing customer success via part-time billable assignments

Salary and Benefits


  • Salary range for this position is based on experience and will be a combination of base salary plus commissions

  • Ability to work remotely, from a home office
